Chairman of the Board

David King, a former Halliburton senior executive, joined Kenda Capital in August 2010 as a Senior Business Advisor. David has worked in the industry for over 30 years and while with Halliburton held numerous executive leadership roles including being a member of the Company’s executive committee where he served as Chief Health, Safety and Environmental Officer. During his distinguished career with Halliburton, David was also President, completion and production division; Senior Vice President, completion and production division; and Senior Vice President, production optimization.

David has extensive international oil and gas business and service operations experience. He holds a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Alabama and was recognized in 2007 by the University of Alabama as a Distinguished Fellow of the College of Engineering.

Erik Vollebregt is Managing Director of Kenda Capital. Prior to his involvement in Kenda Capital, he worked for Royal Dutch Shell for 27 years in various staff, line and senior management positions in Shells upstream and downstream businesses. In the late nineties, Erik was Commercial & Finance Director of Shell Companies in Nigeria and in charge of Shell Nigeria’s business development and growth agenda. Other positions held include Shell Chief Internal Auditor, Manager/Negotiator of the disposal of Shell’s global Billiton metals business and IPO of the Australian gold assets. He took charge of Shell Technology Ventures in 2001, the Royal Dutch Shell owned predecessor to Shell Technology Ventures Fund 1 B.V. He holds degrees in Law and in Finance.

David Crowley is president and CEO of Enventure Global Technology – the energy industry’s leading provider of solid expandable technology. With over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas market, he brings a dynamic and global perspective to the company.

Spending his first 20 years with Schlumberger, Crowley held international assignments in key positions for operations, engineering and marketing. He then applied his international business expertise to assist US-based companies intent on growing their geographic footprint overseas. Most recently, he led the US and International divisions of Precision Drilling Oilfield Services after they acquired Grey Wolf drilling. During and after the acquisition, his accountability-centered leadership ensured a successful transition for both the employees and customers.

David holds a bachelor of science in marine engineering from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy and he participated in Advanced Management Programs with INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France; London School of Economics and Political Science, England; and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC), and the American Petroleum Institute (API).

Johan Surewaard

Johan Surewaard is the Vice President Wells – New Ventures, Middle East, North Africa, Russia and Caspian, in the Shell Projects and Technology organization based in the Netherlands. He began his career with Shell in the company’s Research department in the Netherlands. Over his 20 year career with Shell he worked abroad in Oman and Scotland in a variety of positions for Well Technology, Well Engineering Operations, Contracting and Procurement and Wells Management. Most recently Johan served as the Wells Global Supply Chain Manager. He has degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Physics.
