Question:
“What is the most interesting new application in Solid Expandable Technology?”

Answer:
"One of the most interesting advancements having real impact in the oilfield is the installation of Enventure SET® Systems in deep wells. We have multiple expandable installs in wells below 20,000 ft and the number is growing. One of the most recent was for an operator in the Gulf of Mexico Deep Shelf. By installing an expandable in an existing well, the operator was able to access reserves that may potentially change the face of Deep Shelf drilling. In other deep wells, operators are accessing by-passed reserves by utilizing exiting wellbores, sidetracking directionally and utilizing one, two, or more expandable strings to deal with formation depletion and mechanical issues. In both instances the drivers are twofold:

1) Get deeper with the largest inside diameter possible for optimum evaluation or completion options 2) Drastically lower cost by tapping into the existing infrastructure.

Enabling an operator to add new reserves or increase ultimate recovery of existing reserves at a lower cost is an excellent economic proposition. Expandables are helping to make it possible."
