A large independent operator was developing a Granite Wash asset, drilling a horizontal well in Northwest Texas. The crew discovered significant casing wear near the well’s surface, caused by a misaligned derrick. The challenge this operator faced in the live well scenario was being able to safely repair the casing and continue drilling with the initial program.
With an eye toward risk management, they engaged Enventure to deploy a SET® Cased-hole solid expandable system from a depth of 345 feet back up to the wellhead.
