A major operator was sidetracking out of an existing well to a nearby reservoir.The first attempt to sidetrack utilizing a conventional casing design failed to reach the target depth and damaged the 13-3/8 in. casing.
The casing design for a new sidetrack was revised and included two Enventure expandable liners.
