The extreme fluctuation of energy prices and the current state of economic uncertainty have impacted oil and gas recovery projects. Combining enabling technologies, such as solid expandable tubulars, and efficient processes have proven to best utilize resources and budgets. Few approaches promise more productive potential than that found with increasing reservoir contact and extending lateral reach. Solid expandable tubulars provide larger IDs that allow for optimized directional drilling assemblies and bits to maintain hole diameters at TD of long openhole laterals associated with MRC wells.
