SET Cased-hole Liners (CHL) and Openhole Liners (OHL) have been effectively used to isolate watered-out and water-producing zones. Not only are SET solutions more reliable than their alternatives, but the value-add of maximized ID helps maintain the largest production conduit possible.
In new projects, expandable liners cover perforated or open-hole completions that are producing wet zones – even ones severe enough to shut in the well.
In mature fields with increased water cut, expandables can isolate watered-out zones and extend the producing life of the asset.
