Challenge: Design and implement a field-level remediation plan using cased-hole SET® Solid Expandable Tubular technology to facilitate production restoration.
Enventure's 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 inch, 17 lb/ft ESeal Liner was installed in a Barnett Shale 3000 ft lateral wellbore to isolate existing perforations while allowing fracturing of new shale colume between old perforation clusters.
As part of a multi-well program, isolate severe water-thief zones in a field where squeezing, casing patches and dual packer isolation assemblies rarely worked. The solution increased production and ultimately resulted in higher reserves.
Results from two case histories in shale plays indicate that the use of an expandable refrac liner gives comparable, or better, gas production than other methods of perforation isolation, and provides assurance
for frac stage injectivity.
A major east coast Operator needed to cover and isolate two sets of perforations in the base casing. An ESeal Liner was chosen because three previous liners were performing successfully in the same area for this Operator. The perforations needed to be sealed so water influx could be stopped to...
A major operator in the Eagle Ford began a well recovery program to re-activate over 30 wells that stopped producing due to compromised well integrity (leaks).
An Operator, in the Permian, discovered they did not obtain cement coverage along the entire length of the lateral after cementing their production casing.
The Operator wanted to repair the well and continue production through the 2-7/8-in. production tubing with a retrievable packer set at 11,335 ft. in the 5-1/2-in.17 lb/ft. casing.
